There are various types of dharma that are prevalent in this world. The dharma that doesn’t explain atma-dharma and the dharma of bhajan to Bhagavan is a useless dharma. By the causeless mercy of Śrīla Guru-pāda-padma and the rūpānuga Vaiṣṇavas, we are hearing this Govinda-līlāmṛta, which is helpful for the soul and enables one to enter into service of the Supreme Soul. Vṛndā-devī has reserved the pastimes of God for us, so that fortunate people can collect these and get permission to enter vraja-līlā. Otherwise, if one is involved in jaḍa-līlā, mundane rasa, which has covered all places in this world, day and night that jaḍa-līlā will be thought of, even while sleeping one will not be able to forget the mundane nature of this world…

Gayanti cainam anurakta-dhiyo; the gopis sing about Krsna. What do they sing? They sing, “Govinda Damodara Madhaveti…”
I will speak on one history of Giriraja-Govardhana. Giriraja was in the Himalayas. He is the son of Drona. Drona is one of the friends of Himalaya. He had a beautiful son and his name was Giriraja. Though he was little, he was so beautiful. He was decorated by Tamala trees, Kadamba trees, cuckoos, parrots, and everything else. He was loved so much by his father. When anyone would see Giriraja-Govardhana, they would become so attracted to him. So, when Sri Ramacandra wanted to make a bridge across the ocean to go to Lanka, He ordered Nala, Nila, and all the monkeys to make a bridge…
Don’t think these pastimes are imagination or something slight. The ācāryas only give hints of these pastimes. If you touch those hints, turning the button on, then all pastimes will manifest in your heart. But you must go to the gosvāmīs and ācāryas. Then you can gain entrance into these pastimes. If you try to understand alone, you will turn on the TV and watch movies. How much does the TV have stored? This māyā is limited. But if you turn on the button of kṛṣṇa-līlā rasa by going to the feet of the gosvāmīs and touching their feet, and remain at their feet, then all Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes will come one after the other in an unlimited flow of nectar…
Demons enter the ashrams, the brahmana families, and all religions, and destroy them from within. They fill them with duplicity and cheating. In Kali-yuga, followers of bad people will be millions and billions, but followers of good people will be very few. How can you understand who is good or bad, a demon or demigod? If you insult them, taunt them a little, or tease them, then you will understand. The door will open to their character. Kamsa was so loving to his sister and brother-in-law. But at a word from the sky, his svarupa came out, and he immediately was prepared to kill his sister on her wedding day…

This book Govinda-līlāmṛta establishes the living entities in spiritual perfection, bestowing realization of their svarūpa-siddhi, eternal spiritual form, svarūpa-ānanda, the bliss inherent in that form, and svarūpa-gata-sevā, the service corresponding to that form. This Govinda-līlāmṛta builds the temple. Which temple? The temple of the soul’s eternal form, where ātma-gata-sevā is performed. A temple is where the service of God is performed.
