There are two kinds of siddhas: jnana-marga siddha and bhakti-marga siddha. Jnana-marga siddha is perfect in the path of impersonal knowledge. Bhakti-marga siddha are those who are expert in bhakti. They are both considered siddha, perfect.

Saranagati is the doorway of bhakti. It is not bhakti, but the doorway. Those who follow saranagati will enter in the bhakti line; and then sraddha, nistha, ruci, asakti, bhava, prema, and all other advanced stages of love will develop. Kṛṣṇa-prema is not a thing of this world. It is of Goloka Vṛndāvana. It comes from Kṛṣṇa to Brahmā, from Brahmā to Nārada to Vyāsadeva, and from Vyāsadeva to Śukadeva Gosvāmī.
