Unless you are detached from saṁsāra, you will not advance in bhakti. As much as you are advanced in bhakti, you will realize Kṛṣṇa to that extent. And in the same proportion, you will develop detachment from this world also. Despite performing much bhajana, if you are still attached to saṁsāra, then what is this? Then you have to understand that you are not performing bhakti.
