[From the song Yaṅ kali rūpa śarīra na dharata]
In the last verse, Mādhava dāsa is praying: “Oh Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, please give me shelter at your lotus feet. I surrender unconditionally at your lotus feet!” Unless one has surrendered like this at the lotus feet of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī and prays and begs for his mercy, these things can never be revealed. We also pray today to Rūpa Gosvāmī to bestow his causeless mercy on all of us so that we can dive deep into his literature and understand his moods and his thoughts, as well as the goal that he wanted to give us. We pray that we are able to understand what he has given us and also practice that in our life and at last become successful in our endeavor.
