Caitanya Mahaprabhu told Sanatana Gosvami, “I have come only for you and your brother, not to go to Vrndavana. Actually, I have come to you because I was hearing your internal prayers. You are honest, you are sincere, and you called Me to help, so I came. You should try to give up all this wealth and reputation and everything and you should try to come to Vrndavana. Try to give yourself completely at the lotus feet of Krsna, always chanting, remembering, and meditating on Krsna. If you will do this, you will be happy
forever. Otherwise, you cannot develop your Krsna consciousness. For this I have come to you. Now I am satisfied by this journey. I am returning.” So, Krsna arranged this. You can pray only. At your stage, you cannot judge whether anyone is a bona-fide Guru or not because you don’t have all this knowledge. So anyone cannot judge whether he is a qualified Guru or not. Anyone cannot understand, cannot judge. But Krsna can help. You can only pray honestly that, “O Krsna, help me. I cannot recognize who is a bona-
fide Guru or not, but I want to serve You, so help me.” Hearing the prayers of a true, sincere devotee like this, Krsna Himself comes or He sends any good devotee like a Vaisnava acarya to help any sincere devotees.
I know that anyone had not called Svamiji to the western or eastern countries. Who sent him? Krsna arranged for this. You have also not called me here. I myself was inspired by my Gurudeva and Svamiji and Krsna. When I first came, I was penniless, having not a single penny, nothing. I could not imagine
that I may come to Australia, Fiji, here to Indonesia, Bali and I will see all these things. That I will preach and so many devotees will hear from me. I never expected these things. Who arranged for this? I know very sincerely that Krsna has arranged all of this. Why? For you all, for those who are sincere. Also,
Krsna arranged for Gour Govinda Maharaja to come here. I know perhaps that he did not want to come here, but his Gurudeva and Krsna inspired him to come to these places. So we cannot select a bona-fide Guru ourselves.
So, like this, Caitanya Mahaprabhu inspired the three brothers and returned. Caitanya Mahaprabhu inspired Rupa and Sanatana and returned to Puri. He told them to give up all this wealth and reputation, this prime ministry and everything. Then Caitanya Mahaprabhu met Rupa Gosvami in Prayaga and when He was returning from there, again He met with Sanatana Gosvami and stayed with him for more than seven or ten days. He associated with him and gave all His teachings to Sanatana Gosvami. So this is the process, how Krsna or a pure devotee helps needy persons, those who want to do bhajana.
