Just like Jagāī and Mādhāi said, “From this day I will never behave like that again.” I am requesting all the devotees, please say: “From today may I never ever have this enjoying spirit. I have come here. Why? Only to serve Guru and Vaiṣṇavas, and to give up all duplicity.” This is the way of doing parikramā and hearing hari-kathā. Then, surely, the result will come and transcendental love will be raised within your heart. Yaśodā Maiyā immediately went to the milk because the milk was boiling over. She took some water and sprinkled water on the milk so that the milk would not boil over. She was pacifying the milk: “There, there. You don’t become hopeless, don’t be distressed, and don’t give up your life. I need you. You are actually very important.” The spiritual master is like this. When the disciple approaches the spiritual master, and his heart is breaking, he is feeling much grief, and with grief-stricken words he’s confessing, “I am so fallen; I am so useless. My life is wasted. There is no hope for me; please give me help and shelter.” Then, at that time, guru is very kind and he gives consolation to his disciple, and he inspires him with hope.
