When Yaśodā tried to bind Kṛṣṇa, she was unable to do so. The rope was two fingers short. Although Yaśodā tried to bind Kṛṣṇa by tying many ropes together, she couldn’t. On being told by her friends to give up tying Kṛṣṇa, she said, “I will tie Kṛṣṇa today, tomorrow, or the day after. I will not eat or drink my entire life, if that is what is needed from me, but I will tie Kṛṣṇa.” Bhajana should be like this—do or die. The sādhaka should think, “I will attain Kṛṣṇa; it is a question of life and death.” Dhruva gave up eating and drinking. Rūpa-Sanātana and Śukadeva Gosvāmī also renounced everything for Kṛṣṇa. So, Bhagavān’s bhajana is not as easy as we think. But, bhajana is also easy. By staying under the guidance of Guru and Vaiṣṇavas, bhajana is easy.
