A sādhaka should be of this caliber. He is using the bathroom, not for himself, but for Kṛṣṇa. He is sleeping, not for himself, but for Kṛṣṇa. He is taking breakfast, not for himself, but for Kṛṣṇa. He is going somewhere, not for himself, but for Kṛṣṇa. Anything he does, he does for Kṛṣṇa. We should get up in the morning, finish our duties, and start chanting and remembering Kṛṣṇa happily, without any disturbance. “For this reason, I must sleep a while.” This is how a servant of that caliber thinks. The gopīs think that if they are happy and beautiful, Kṛṣṇa will be happy and beautiful; and if they are not happy, Kṛṣṇa will be unhappy. So, they think, “We must be happy.”
