  • Tarry and Tete-a-Tete – Govinda-lilamrta

Yaśodā Mātā along with svarūpa-śakti and Her expansions always serves Śrī Kṛṣṇa in the eternal world with great love. They make unlimited loveful preparations for Kṛṣṇa. How tasteful are those things? Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Lord Himself, is now very eager to relish those things. God creates and manifests so many things in this world but everything is not offered for God. People are thieves and steal and enjoy whatever they can. But no one can create anything. God creates everything. Yet people cheats others and say, “This is mine. I made this.” And they do not offer anything to God…

  • Through Self-Giving

…Service means self-giving, self-dedication, and this should be our attitude to approach that plane. In that way, all the coatings of ego will vanish one by one, and the genuine self will come from within and select its own soil: “This is my home.” So many coverings are deviating us in different directions, taking us far, far away from our svarupa, our real noble self – a servant in the highest plane of the whole organism. The Beautiful is playing, dancing in His own sweetness and affection, and we can reach Him, following such a course of “do-or-die” at every moment…

  • The Crooked Way – Govinda-lilarmta

Kṛṣṇa implied, “I will block your pathway, calling all My strong companions. They will come in front of you and block the pathway, doing a hunger strike, and not letting you pass. Then you will be forced to give darśana. How do you want to go forward?” Kuṇḍalatā and Viśākhā Devī understood. Kṛṣṇa went to see Śrīmatī Rādhārānī’s beautiful decoration. A brilliant effulgence was coming from under Her shawl, like the rising of the sun. After Rādhārānī bathes and dresses, Her beauty is so effulgent. Govinda is waiting with the sakhās for Her darśana…

  • Snehamrta – Govinda-lilamrta

We are very lucky to be in Vṛndāvana, under guidance of the Vaiṣṇavas and Guru-pāda-padma, trying to drink a little of this nectar of govinda-līlā. If one drop of this enters the heart, then the heart will be very clean. Nothing else can clean the contaminated heart. We begin the third chapter of Govinda-līlāmṛta, praying to the sad gosvāmīs, to the Aṣṭa-kavirāja, Cauṣati Mahānta, the whole guru-varga, Śrī Vraja-dhāma and all the Vrajavāsīs for a drop of this nectar to enter our hearts. A drop is all that is needed. If just one drop comes in the heart, one’s life will be successful.

  • After Death

You should know that one day you will be old. Your beauty will be gone, and one day you will have to give up this body. You will give up this world, and you don’t know where you will go. After death, what will happen to you? Can you take anything with you? No. The soul is different from this body. Try to realize this. Chant Hare Krishna and be happy forever.

  • Absolute Charm – Govinda-lilamrta

The sakhīs are decorating Śrīmatī after Her abhiṣeka. They give Her a necklace of charming jewels strung with hair from the tail of a yak. If a person wears this kind of necklace, the influence of any bad energy or animosity will not affect one. Some people try to control others or cause harm with the powers of taṅtra and mantra. Kaṁsa has many followers and demons that practice this. There are millions of them, and they always try to disturb the Vrajavasis and Vraja-devīs…

  • Water the Seeds

Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja ordered me, “I am giving some water to you, go there and water the seeds, creepers, and plants who are in dire need of being nourished. Otherwise, they will dry, wither, and ultimately die.” So, I came with the water of harikatha. What I speak is based on what I have heard from my bonafide guruvarga, gurudeva, and many siksa gurus.

  • Jewels of the Parakiya Parampara – Govinda-lilamrta

Worshiping with this mantra is the activity of the parakiya-parampara, or gaudiya-parampara. It seems that he who chants this mantra worships Krsna, but this is not so. The Gaudiyas follow those who serve Krsna perfectly. They follow Srimati Radharani and the gopis… This parakiya parampara is not so easy to understand. Those in the parakiya parampara are very strange. Outwardly, they may be sitting and eating, but what are they really doing? You must be one of them to understand. When Durvasa Rsi was asked, “Did you eat anything?” He says, “I have never eaten…”
