At the Beginning of Every

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada:

“The moment I deviate from śrī guru, the moment I become forgetful of he who keeps me attracted to his lotus feet at every single moment, I will, without a doubt, diverge from the Truth.

And when I am thus separated from śrī guru, countless misgivings and deficiencies will engulf me.
I shall simply spend my time bathing when I’m hot and bundling up when I’m cold. In other words, I will become more anxious to arrange for my own comfort than to serve śrī gurudeva.

If at the beginning of every year, every month, every day and every moment, I do not remember my gurudeva, who saves me from absorption in that which has no connection to my constitutional nature or are separate from kṛṣṇa-bhakti, then I will definitely fall into greater and greater difficulty.

I will try to present myself as guru and will be swallowed up by the ill-mentality of believing that others should worship me as such.

This alone is dvitīya abhiniveśa – infatuation with the worthless purposes of our unnatural state.
To come and offer guru-pūjā just for one day is insufficient. It is our duty to serve gurudeva at every moment.”

Then Yogamaya told her, “You cannot go to Vrndavana, because you are not qualified. First you would have to take birth from a gopi’s womb, associate with the gopis, and try to follow them. You would have to marry a gopa like Durmukha, Durmada, Abhimanyu, or Govardhana Malla. Then, when you have given up that husband, you would be able to go to Krsna and make Him your beloved. This is the only process.”

  • Kṛṣṇa and His Body are the Same Thing

Understand? Kṛṣṇa has no difference between His shape and Kṛṣṇa Himself. Kṛṣṇa and His body are the same thing. So, Kṛṣṇa is not arūpavad. But He is Himself the shape, Kṛṣṇa, tat-pradhānatvāt. He is so beautiful; He has so many beautiful qualities. He is so generous. He is so merciful. If there is no body, no personality, where will all these qualities be?

  • Our Main Point

Do not change our principles. Practicing is already done by kirtana. It is not required for us to become artists. Our main point is service to Krishna, not to please an audience. We shall not divert our attention too much to adjustment of musical sounds. People should not misunderstand that we are a band of musical artists. They must know that we are devotees of Krishna. Our devotional practice and purity shall be so strong that wherever we chant there will be immediately an impression in the audience for devotion to Krishna…

  • You are Very Lucky to Come with Me

…We have brought you all to see how beautiful these kuñjas are. At that time these trees were straight and covered with lush creepers, though now they are lying down. No unauthorized person was able to see through them, to see who was there or not. At that time the kuñjas where so large that rāsa-līlā and all other related pastimes used to take place in them. Millions of gopīs could fit in them. At that time Vṛndāvana forest was only forest. There were not many houses as there are today. According to the desire of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the kuñjas and land could expand and reduce in size. You are very lucky to come with me to very beautiful places like this.
