When Rūpa Gosvāmī recited the anarpita-carīṁ cirāt verse, the assembly of devotees consisting of Svarūpa Dāmodara, Rāya Rāmānanda Prabhu, and other associates of Mahāprabhu became stunned.

Why did they become stunned? Despite being an eternal associate of Mahāprabhu, a pastime manifested where Svarūpa Dāmodara had darśana of Mahāprabhu. Many associates of Mahāprabhu, like Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya, also had the darśana of Mahāprabhu. But, Mahāprabhu told them, “Don’t reveal My tattva to anyone.”

When Rūpa Gosvāmī recited the anarpita-carīṁ cirāt verse from his maṅgalācaraṇa of Lalita-mādhava, he clearly said that only by the mercy of Śacīnandana Gaurahari, who is Kṛṣṇa Himself—adorned with the mood and complexion of Śrīmatī Rādhikā—has he written this book. Thus, Rūpa Gosvāmī manifested the identity of Mahāprabhu.
