What is the essence of this song written by Caṇḍīdāsa? He says, “If you want to love Kṛṣṇa, be ready to weep for your entire life. If you want to be with your family happily, then don’t love Kṛṣṇa. Be far away from Kṛṣṇa.” There are millions of devotees in Vṛndāvana who are continuously weeping.
Their parents are also weeping. If you are so fortunate and become the associate of Kṛṣṇa, then you will weep more. So, the gopīs advise us, “Don’t have love and affection for Kṛṣṇa. Be far away from Him.”
