You Have Stolen Our Minds

Krsna told the gopis, “Return to your homes and serve your husbands.”

The gopis replied, “Then return our minds back. How can we return without our minds? Our feet will not walk by themselves. You have stolen our minds.”

“When did I steal?”

“Your form has stolen our minds. Playing the flute, You stood in Your three-fold bending form. Your form is supremely auspicious for the world. Seeing Your form, the cows, calves, birds, peacocks, cuckoos, and deer forsake their dharma and adopt another dharma.” The nature of the Yamuna is to flow downstream, but on seeing Krsna and listening to the Venu-gita, the Yamuna flows upstream.

Srila Gurudeva's Last Janmastami Class

“Alas! I cannot observe the appearance festival of my abhīṣṭadeva Śrī Kṛṣṇa, in His eternal abode of Śrī Mathurā-maṇḍala!” Having spoken thus, Śrīla Gurudeva remained stunned and silent for nearly half an hour.

If you are worshiping Radha and Krsna and performing Their arati, and at that time if you sing the song of Narahari-rupa Lord Nrsimhadeva, "kesava dhrta-narahari-rupa jaya jagadisa hare," what will be the use? Narahari cannot go to Vrndavana. Parama-pujapada Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja gave this mantra at first, before he had given the diksa-mantras of Radha and Krsna. He told his young disciples to do this, because he was thinking, "Somehow they should begin their worship..."

The Origin of Ratha-yatra

As I have explained before, Mahaprabhu very rarely sees Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra. When He does, He at once enters a mood of very intense separation and prays, "After a long time I am meeting with My most beloved, for whom I was burning in the fire of separation." He addresses Jagannatha as gopibhartuh and prays, "Pada-kamalayor dasa-dasanudasah." The word gopi-bhartuh reveals Krsna's relationship with the gopis, for it means "the gopis' most beloved," or "He who is always controlled by the gopis." Mahaprabhu concludes, "I want to be the servant of the servant of the servant of that Krsna." ...You will have to consult Srimad-Bhagavatam to understand the meaning of this verse, because the history of Ratha-yatra has been indicated there. Krsna left Vraja at the age of eleven...

It Is Not a Day – It Is Krsna

Try not to do any worldly activities on Ekadasi. We should utilize at least one day in two weeks to be closer to Sri Sri Radha and Krsna, and in that way you will not lose your bhakti. Your bhakti will certainly increase by Their association, and therefore Krsna has arranged this opportunity – He Himself has become Ekadasi. In the form of Ekadasi, He invites us: "Today you should give your eleven senses to Me." This is a very good thing – Krsna has become Ekadasi – so we should try to observe it...

When Srimati Radhika began praying like this, did she first teach the Gopis to sing after Her? Like when people sing in kirtan, they follow a book or repeat after the main singer. However, after the sadhana-siddha-gopis took shelter of Srimati...
