If Anyone Worships Rādhājī

Baladeva Prabhu is the predominating deity of sandhinī-śakti; Kṛṣṇa is the predominating deity of samvit-śakti; and Śrīmatī Rādhikā is the predominating deity of hladinī-śakti. If anyone worships Rādhājī, all his desires will be fulfilled. He will then attain the complete mercy of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.

Home Sweet Home – Gita Govinda

If you have no faith in Guru and Vaisnavas then you will naturally not have love or a tendency to serve them. If you have mamata, possessive for someone, you will automatically serve him. This is called sambandha-jnana. Krsna looks here and there to see who has sambandha-jnana. He wonders, “Does this person have faith? Does he do seva or does he do karma out of a sense of duty...?”

Do Anything to Please Kṛṣṇa

Śrī Kṛtiratna Prabhu’s sādhana was to do anything to please Kṛṣṇa and to give up all kinds of enjoyment for himself. With great love he honoured whatever Ṭhākurajī mahā-prasāda was served. He never had the desire to eat anything delicious and throughout his life he never mentioned that there was too little salt in the mahā-prasāda or that it was not tasty enough. When he was the manager of Caitanya Maṭha in the maṭha’s early days, he and the other brahmacārīs were living and performing their sādhana-bhajana with great difficulty because of the maṭha’s impoverished condition. Nonetheless, they were completely satisfied with such a life, and their dealings with each other were very affectionate...

The Loving Chastisement of Our Well-wishers

The minister approached the hotel manager, requesting a chance to do unpaid service. The manager agreed, and the minister started to serve the hotel and the prince, bringing him water, feeding him, and fanning him at night. Seeing the minister taking care of every detail, the prince wondered why he was helping him. After many months of serving, the minister had made a close friendship with the prince. One day the minister asked the boy where he was from, whereupon the prince started to weep bitterly. He told the minister that he was the son of a king, but due to his immense pride, he had left the palace and the kingdom after being chastised by his father. The minster suggested that the prince return, but the boy refused, saying that he wasn’t qualified. Finally, after a long time, the minister convinced the lost son to go back to the king...

Lost Faculty – Bhagavad Gita

Now Arjuna was silent; devoid of all strength. When do people lose their strength? Guru-pāda-padma and the Ācāryas teach us that intelligence is given by God. When we use our intelligence against God and our mentality goes against dharma, then we will lose everything. Our strength, our brain will stop working. Arjuna has now transferred himself near to crazy, mental people and material enjoyers. He was absorbed in thoughts about them and their welfare. Externally, he was with Kṛṣṇa, but he did not follow Kṛṣṇa. He empathetically left Kṛṣṇa, and went over to the Kauravas. The Vrajavāsīs, Vraja-devīs may remain in their houses and buildings, but they always think of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa thinks of them as well, and therefore they are always strong. When Kṛṣṇa played on His flute, the gopīs immediately left everything and ran to Him. However, Arjuna was with Kṛṣṇa, yet not with Kṛṣṇa in reality. He was with his blood relatives who were all like criminals and terrorists...

Hiranyakasipu and Yamaraja

While Yamarāja, in the form of a small boy, was instructing all the relatives surrounding the dead body of Suyajña, everyone was struck with wonder by his philosophical words. They could understand that everything material is temporary...
