Guru Purnima

Your Cāturmāsya-vrata will be successful when you adopt the vow not to accept any food other than the mahā-prasāda of the bhaktas. When you are thus determined, your character will be purified. You will no longer want to go to the cinema and play on a laptop. Your mind will not automatically run to the internet. This is the power of the pure devotees’ remnants. Nārada was a small child but by the mercy of the mahā-bhāgavata ṛṣis he became determined to also become a fully devoted servant of Bhagavān.

WHO IS PRABHODHANANDA SARASVATI? Why Did He Write "Sri Radha Rasa Sudha Nidhi"?

One who stays in Vṛndāvana engaged in bhajana under the guidance of sad-guru and Vaiṣṇavas will in time, upon becoming fully immersed in rasamayī-bhakti, have realization of this storehouse of divine nectar. When this nectar enters the heart, one can achieve svarūpa-siddhi and become qualified for direct kṛṣṇa-sevā. Kṛṣṇa will not accept us into His service until we have realization of vraja-rasa and vraja-bhakti and follow the footsteps of the Vraja-devīs. Prabodhānanda Sarasvatīpāda drank the nectar of vraja-rasa that was given to him by Mahāprabhu, and then reserved it for us in this book.

Where is Love, There is Doubt

The truth is that, wherever there is deep love, there is doubt. This is not the fault of a person with love; this is natural. For example, when a child goes to school and is only a little bit late to return, his parents think, “There must have been an accident! Perhaps he was kidnapped!” They doubt in this way. But why? Why do they automatically think something bad has happened? Why do they not think positively?

SRILA GURUDEVA was BHAKTABANDHAV – "Friend to All"

Śrīla Gurudeva went to houses of people from all walks of life to inspire them to practice bhakti. When a local congregational member was struggling or someone was sick in the family, Gurudeva would go and give comfort and help. He once went at dawn, without telling anyone he was leaving, and did not return until late morning. His brahmacārī assistant had prepared his breakfast as normal, but when Śrīla Gurudeva returned, he said, “I already ate.” “Where?” the brahmacārī asked. “I went to the home of poor gṛhasthas who keep donkeys for labor work. One of them was sick, so I went to help.”
