Śrīmatī Rādhikā And The Bumblebee

Śrīmatī Rādhikā said to the bumblebee, “Kṛṣṇa is black like you. How can we trust you? You run from one flower to another taking its honey and you never look back at the flower you have taken honey from. You leave the flower forever, never to remember it again. Your Prabhu is like this and you have learnt this art from Him. He loved one gopī and then another and then left us all to go to Mathurā. What will He do there? He will do the same. We have no relationship with persons like this. We became beggars for His love, yet He speaks the same old tricks. We have nothing to give you, for we are forest dwellers. We are beggars and we don’t have a single farthing with us. We don’t have anything to give you. Go to Mathurā. What do we have? We only beg for His love. We have become street beggars. We have nothing. So, go and please the princesses of Mathurā.”

Verse 15:
Description of Vyabhicāri-bhāvas

The word vyabhicārī here has a special technical meaning. It can be broken down into three parts: vi (distinction or intensification), abhi (towards) and cārī (going). In other words an emotion that moves distinctively in the direction of the sthāyibhāva and that serves to intensify it is called vyabhicāri-bhāva. The vyabhicāri-bhāvas are made known by one’s speech, by the limbs such as...

A discussion on Nama-aparadha – San Francisco 05 1996

If you have respect for Gurudeva and those who have given all these things, then you will be careful in this regard, as you will have sambhanda jñāna, a relationship with Śrī Guru and Vaiṣṇavas. In this way, there is very little chance to commit an aparādha to Gurudeva. One may think, “I am a Vaiṣṇava, he is a Vaiṣṇava, and all are Vaiṣṇavas.” In this way he will see everyone on the same level...

First Part: Bhagavata Guru-parampara

In accordance with the needs of the times and for the welfare of the world, the supremely merciful Sri Bhagavan and His dear associates descend, bringing the gifts of their instructions. They drive far away all godless persons, whose atheistic thoughts are averse to dharma, and they establish sanatana dharma in the form of suddha-bhakti, which is the means for the eternal welfare of the jivas. In the present yuga with its powerful influence of Kali, Sri Gaurasundara, the munificent incarnation of Kali-yuga, saves the fallen souls by bestowing prema (love of God) which had not been given previously. His followers, who are themselves in the line of Sri Svarupa Damodara and Rupa Gosvami, have appeared on this earth as Sri Gaurasundara’s potencies in the form of acaryas. They appear in order to immerse the ignorant jivas, who are intoxicated by materialism, in suddha prema-dharma (pure love of God).
